As reported during this week’s SmackDown, Ted DiBiase suffered a cracked bone and torn cartilage in his wrist during a WWE live event in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada last weekend.
Despite this setback, the competitive Superstar stepped up to once again to battle Hunico on SmackDown. Partially due to the damaged appendage – noticeable throughout the match – DiBiase was ultimately defeated by his dangerous Mexican adversary.
Then, in a post-match assault by Hunico and Camacho, the brutal amigos stomped the third generation grappler’s wrist into the unforgiving steel steps, no doubt aggravating the injury even further.
There is no word at this time as to the extent of DiBiase injuries following SmackDown, nor what actions General Manager Theodore Long might take against his attackers.

Ted DiBiase def. Hunico in a Flag Match
In the first-ever Flag Match in SmackDown history, Ted DiBiase hit Dream Street to overcome Hunico, paving the way for him to wave the American flag proudly in triumph.
Ted also participated in a Lumberjack match for the World Heavyweight Championship which ended in a no contest.
It’s easy to argue that 2011 was the year of CM Punk, who not only captured two WWE Championships last year but ushered in a new era of change as the self-appointed “Voice of the Voiceless.” Others, however, contend that 2011 was the year of Daniel Bryan, who used his prized Money in the Bank briefcase to catapult himself to World Heavyweight Championship glory last month at WWE TLC.
Whoever’s year 2011 might have been, it’s time to look ahead. Who will we all be talking about in 2012? Which up-and-coming Superstar will break out this year? Which ring warriors will reclaim their former glory? Who will we all be tweeting about in the months ahead? Check out our list of 12 competitors we think will change the landscape of WWE this year.
Ted DiBiase – Ever since this third-generation Superstar abandoned his notorious wealth-flaunting ways, he’s been on the best roll of his career – due in no small part to the support of a growing legion of WWE Universe members calling themselves the “DiBiase Posse.” Outside WWE live events across the country, the former holder of the Million Dollar Title tailgates with his Posse in the parking lot. But he’s not just getting better at grilling: DiBiase is a force between the ropes.

Hunico def. Ted DiBiase
Riding to the ring on a low-rider driven by his amigo Camacho, Hunico mocked Ted DiBiase, suggesting that he and his cohort might need to crash one of the DiBiase Posse Parties in the near future.
In the culmination of their heated battle, Hunico backed up his tough talk – conquering DiBiase with an impressive submission maneuver-pin combination.
